The 21-year-old suspect, identified as Gaurav, was taken into custody. The fatal altercation occurred in the afternoon within a hotel room in Mohan Garden.

Pawan, who also resided in Mohan Garden, had been preparing for the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) examinations. Authorities reported receiving a call about a quarrel on Thursday evening and found that Pawan had been murdered over a dispute involving a woman.

According to the police, Gaurav repeatedly struck Pawan with a 'kada' (metal bracelet), leading to his death. A senior police officer confirmed that a case of murder has been filed against the accused.
