Jodhpur University Alumnus Arrested for Rs 12 Lakh Cyber Fraud
Subhash Bishnoi, a 24-year-old alumnus of Jodhpur University, has been arrested by Delhi Police for defrauding a 34-year-old engineer named Ankit of Rs 12 lakh through a sham investment scheme in the share market and cryptocurrency. Bishnoi is part of a larger gang exploiting social media users with promises of quick, high returns.

Delhi Police have arrested Subhash Bishnoi, an alumnus of Jodhpur University, from Jodhpur for allegedly deceiving a 34-year-old engineer of nearly Rs 12 lakh by promising profitable returns on investments in the stock market and cryptocurrency, officials revealed on Friday.
According to the police, the victim, Ankit, initially saw rapid returns on smaller investments, which built his trust and led him to invest a significant sum of Rs 11.93 lakh. However, this time, he received no returns.
The police have registered an FIR under section 420 of the IPC, and a detailed investigation traced the defrauded amount across several bank accounts. Bishnoi was apprehended in Jodhpur, and the authorities have frozen multiple bank accounts, recovering Rs 8.66 lakh along with various electronic devices and bank cards.
