Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has issued promotion and financial benefit letters to more than 9,600 New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) employees, a task pending for 10-15 years, officials reported on Friday.
Under Saxena's direction, the NDMC expedited the completion of promotions under the Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP) scheme for 3,178 employees within 15 days and resolved service-related matters for 9,562 staff members within 100 days, as part of the 'Prime Minister's 100 Days Action Plan.'
Saxena commended the NDMC for their efficient and dedicated workforce, noting that 90% of the 12,000 staff are field workers available 24/7. The timely resolution of these issues is expected to boost morale and preparation efforts for the upcoming World Heritage Conference involving 142 countries.
