Tragedy Strikes: Two Young Cousins Drown in Village Pond

Two boys, Ishu (8) and his cousin Ashish (7), drowned on Saturday after slipping into a pond in their village. Police have recovered the bodies and sent them for post-mortem. An investigation is currently ongoing to determine further details of the incident.

Two boys drowned on Saturday after slipping into a pond in the village, police reported. The victims were identified as Ishu (8) and his cousin Ashish (7).

According to Station House Officer (SHO) Bholendra Chaturvedi, Ishu was visiting his maternal grandfather Mansharam's house in Bauripur Jahanganj with his mother and sister. Both boys went to a pond in the village where they tragically drowned.

Authorities have recovered the bodies and sent them for post-mortem. Further investigation is ongoing, according to the SHO.
