The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, notably district magistrates (DMs) of Ayodhya and four other important districts.

Chandra Vijay Singh, formerly the DM of Sonbhadra, has been appointed as the new DM of Ayodhya, according to a statement issued by the state government on Saturday night.

Nitish Kumar, who previously held the position in the temple town, has now been made the Managing Director of Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. Badri Nath Singh, who served as a special secretary at Raj Bhavan, has been named the new DM of Sonbhadra.

In another significant move, Nidhi Srivastav has been appointed as the new DM of Budaun, succeeding Manoj Kumar, who will now serve as Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission.

Divya Mittal has been named the new DM of Deoria, replacing Akhand Pratap Singh, who will take Mittal's former position in the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Road Development Authority.

In Lucknow, Indra Mani Tripathi, the Vice Chairman of the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), has been appointed as the new DM of Auraiya. He replaces Neha Prakash, who has been assigned as the Director of Training and Employment, Uttar Pradesh.

Lastly, Prathmesh Kumar, formerly a Special Secretary with the Chief Minister, will now serve as the new Vice Chairman of LDA.
