Lineman's Tragic Electrocution Sparks Highway Blockade in Uttar Pradesh

A 27-year-old lineman, Kuldeep, tragically lost his life due to electrocution while repairing a power line around 9 PM on Saturday in Gauriganj, Amethi district, Uttar Pradesh, police confirmed Sunday.

In response to the incident, Kuldeep's grieving family and local residents initiated a blockade on the Raebareli-Sultanpur highway in Gauriganj, expressing their anger and demanding action.

The protest was peacefully resolved after Circle Officer Mayank Dwivedi engaged in talks with the demonstrators. Authorities have sent Kuldeep's body for postmortem examination.
