Rashtra Sevika Samiti Welcomes New Commemoration Day

The Rashtra Sevika Samiti, a nationalist women's organization, passed a resolution supporting the central government's decision to observe June 25 as Samvidhan Hatya Diwas. The resolution was made at their national executives' half-yearly meeting, attended by 400 representatives, emphasizing the importance of remembering the dark chapter of the Emergency.

The Rashtra Sevika Samiti, a nationalist women's organization paralleling the RSS, welcomed the Central government's decision to mark June 25 as Samvidhan Hatya Diwas.

This resolution was adopted during the Samiti's half-yearly meeting, which concluded at Dr. Hedgewar Smruti Mandir in Nagpur and saw participation from 400 representatives nationwide.

The observance of June 25 is seen as a reminder of the Emergency period, ensuring that such a dark chapter is never repeated. Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced this initiative to honor those who endured severe hardships during the Emergency.
