Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, days after he resumed his role as the state's chief executive.

Soren shared a picture from the meeting on social media platform X, labeling it a 'courtesy call.'

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) executive president had stepped down from his position before being arrested on January 31 by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering case tied to an alleged land scam. After spending approximately five months in prison, Soren secured bail and was reinstated as chief minister on July 4.
