Zelenskiy confirmed his objective during a news conference in Kyiv, following his visit to Washington for a NATO summit, 28 months after Russia's full-scale invasion.

Although a Russian deputy foreign minister stated last week that Moscow would not attend the follow-up summit, the Kremlin has shown a less definitive stance. The second summit's talks will be based on a plan crafted by various working groups from dozens of countries. Zelenskiy also mentioned that Ukraine would receive F-16 fighter jets this summer, with more expected by year-end, though the exact numbers remain undisclosed.
