Legal Affairs Hosts Motivational Lecture on 'Happiness – a State of Human Values'

The Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice organized a motivational lecture titled "Happiness – a State of Human Values" at the National Media Centre today. The lecture, delivered by Dr. Nanditesh Nilay, an author, human values advocate, and leadership and life skill coach, aimed to inspire senior officers and staff of the ministry. Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Law & Justice (Independent Charge), also graced the occasion.
In his address, Shri Meghwal commended the initiative, highlighting its importance for understanding the essence of life. He emphasized the significance of performing assigned tasks efficiently and the necessity of introspection for success. According to Shri Meghwal, the body, mind, intellect, and soul each require nourishment: exercise for the body, friendship for the mind, knowledge for the intellect, and spirituality for the soul. He stressed the importance of cleansing the mind and soul as much as maintaining a healthy body. He noted that the soul is nourished by seeking blessings from elders, while acquiring knowledge nourishes the intellect. Shri Meghwal underscored that proper nourishment leads to an active and happy life, and introspection is essential for understanding what benefits family, society, and the nation. He added that solving others' problems is a vital quality for happiness and that synergy is crucial in both personal and professional environments. Shri Meghwal asserted that true humanity involves living for and solving the problems of others.
Dr. Nanditesh Nilay, in his lecture, shared personal experiences and encouraged the audience to introspect on how to find happiness in daily life. He urged everyone to find joy in nature, understand themselves, and listen to their inner calling. Dr. Nilay emphasized the importance of understanding one's job responsibilities and resolving conflicts by helping others and exemplifying excellence in work. He highlighted the significance of having a sense of purpose and human values, asserting that one's identity should not be defined by their job title. He encouraged the audience to reflect on their inner circle and strive to be in the company of good human beings, emphasizing that practicing humility, gratitude, and righteousness can make society a wonderful place to live.
Dr. Rajiv Mani, Secretary of the Department of Legal Affairs, introduced the speaker and outlined the objective of organizing the lecture. The event was attended by senior officials and staff from the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice, Press Information Bureau, and media fraternity.
