Tamil Nadu Government Reshuffles Top Bureaucrats

The Tamil Nadu government has conducted a significant bureaucratic reshuffle. Principal Home Secretary P Amudha has been replaced by Dheeraj Kumar. Several other senior officials, including Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner Dr J Radhakrishnan, have also been transferred to new roles.

The Tamil Nadu government has implemented a major bureaucratic reshuffle on Tuesday, transferring several key officials. Principal Home Secretary P Amudha, IAS, has been replaced by Dheeraj Kumar, who was the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Information Technology and Digital Services Department.

Dheeraj Kumar will now take over the Home, Prohibition, and Excise Department. In addition, Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner Dr J Radhakrishnan has been transferred and will assume the role of Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation, Food, and Consumer Protection Department, succeeding Dr K Gopal.

Another significant move includes the transfer of Senior IAS officer Kumar Jayant, who has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Information Technology, and Digital Services Department, as per a Public (Special A) Department order.
