Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday accused the Congress of being anti-backward classes, stating that if the party comes to power in Haryana, it would snatch reservations from OBCs to give to Muslims.
Speaking at a 'Backward Classes Samman Sammelan', Shah referenced the 1950s Kaka Kalekar Commission and the Mandal Commission to illustrate Congress's historical reluctance to implement OBC reservation recommendations. He asserted that the BJP would prevent any Muslim reservation in Haryana.
Shah reaffirmed the BJP's commitment to form a government with a full majority in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. Highlighting recent policy updates, he mentioned the hike in the income limit for the creamy layer of OBCs and increased reservation percentages in Group-A and Group-B posts.
