Internet influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan are restricted from leaving Romania, following a Bucharest Court of Appeal ruling upholding charges of human trafficking, rape, and forming a criminal gang.

Initially allowed to travel within the 27-member European Union, the new ruling overrules an earlier July 5 decision. The brothers, Tristan (36) and Andrew (37), face allegations alongside two Romanian women, charges they vehemently deny.

The Court's decision, which is final, means the Tate brothers must remain in Romania until their trial, although no date has been set. The case file met the legal criteria for a trial, according to an April 26 ruling by the Bucharest Tribunal, following months of preliminary discussions.
