Congress Government to Offer Retirement Benefits to Anganwadi Teachers and Helpers: Seethakka

Telangana Women and Child Welfare Minister D Anasuya, also known as Seethakka, announced that the Congress government will provide retirement benefits to Anganwadi teachers and helpers. The benefits include Rs one lakh for helpers and Rs two lakh for teachers. A Government Order will be issued soon.

Telangana Women and Child Welfare Minister D Anasuya, commonly referred to as Seethakka, confirmed on Tuesday that the Congress government is set to grant retirement benefits to Anganwadi teachers and helpers.

Addressing an event, she assured that a Government Order (GO) will be released soon to implement the benefits.

"For those retiring, there is no need for concern. The GO is on its way. In previous years, Rs 50,000 might have been provided; we plan to offer Rs one lakh for a helper and Rs two lakh for a teacher. The delay is due to the farm loan waiver, but we stand by our promise," Seethakka stated.

She also emphasized the importance of planting saplings with the motto 'plant for future' to support environmental sustainability.
