In a tragic incident, fourteen individuals sustained injuries during a Muharram procession in Pipra Bijwara area of Bihar's Araria district on Wednesday, as reported by local police.
The incident unfolded when the procession passed through an open field, causing a part of the tazia to come into contact with a high-tension electric wire, leading to the electrocution.
Local authorities confirmed that eight persons with serious injuries were admitted to the Araria district hospital, while the remainder were treated and subsequently discharged after receiving necessary medical care.
