Gujarat ATS Busts Rs 20 Crore Mephedrone Manufacturing Unit

In a significant breakthrough, the Gujarat Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) has dismantled a mephedrone manufacturing unit located on the outskirts of Surat city. The operation resulted in the seizure of drugs and raw materials worth Rs 20 crore, according to an official statement released on Thursday.
The raid was executed on Wednesday night by an ATS team acting on a specific tip-off. The team targeted an industrial shed on Surat's outskirts, where the drugs and raw materials were being stored. Two individuals present at the location were arrested, confirmed Deputy Inspector General of Police, ATS, Sunil Joshi.
'We have successfully recovered drugs as well as raw materials valued at nearly Rs 20 crore from the site. Two persons found inside the shed were arrested, and the unit has been sealed for further investigation,' Joshi stated.
