The drills, dubbed 'Maritime Cooperation 2024,' aimed to enhance naval cooperation and stability in the Asia-Pacific, with activities including joint artillery firing and search and rescue operations at sea.

These exercises mark another step in the strategic military partnership between the nations, as tensions rise in the region, particularly involving territorial disputes in the South China Sea.
