UAE President Reaffirms Support Amid Sudan Crisis
UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed support for peace initiatives in Sudan during a call with Sudan's army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. The Sudanese army has accused the UAE of aiding the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which the UAE has denied.

In a recent phone conversation, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan confirmed the United Arab Emirates' commitment to promoting peace initiatives in Sudan. The news was reported by the Emirati state news agency WAM on Thursday.
The dialogue took place with Sudan's army chief, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, amidst a 15-month long conflict that has deeply affected the country.
Notably, the Sudanese army has accused the UAE of providing weapons and logistical support to the rival paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), allegations which the UAE has strongly denied.
