Congress Battles Allegedly Fake Video About Nursing Scam

The Congress announced plans to file a police complaint and move the court over a 'fake' video in which an NSUI leader claims MP minister Vishvas Sarang had no role in an alleged nursing scam. The Congress demands Sarang's resignation, with protests ongoing for over three months.

The Congress announced on Saturday its intention to file a police complaint and move the court over a 'fake' video wherein an NSUI leader purportedly claims MP minister Vishvas Sarang was not involved in the alleged nursing scam.

During a press conference, MP Congress media chief Mukesh Nayak asserted that the video was falsified and reiterated calls for Sarang's resignation. The video, which shows NSUI's Ravi Parmar alleging that the nursing scam was a conspiracy against Sarang, was retweeted by BJP media chief Ashish Agrawal as part of a so-called sting operation.

State BJP spokesman Pankaj Chaturvedi challenged Congress to act against the clip's poster, while Congress threatened to expose another scam involving Sarang. The CBI is currently re-investigating 169 nursing colleges, previously given a clean chit, due to bribery allegations against two of its officials.
