Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday announced that rampant infiltration has caused a decline in the tribal population in Jharkhand. He promised that if the BJP forms the next government, a 'White Paper' on demography would be released to safeguard tribal lands and rights.
Addressing BJP workers at Prabhat Tara Ground, Shah expressed optimism about BJP's prospects, citing the party's victory in 52 of 81 assembly segments in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Without naming Hemant Soren, Shah accused the state's tribal Chief Minister of enabling demographic changes through 'Love Jihad' and 'Land Jihad' due to vote bank politics.
Shah alleged that infiltrators were entering Jharkhand, marrying tribal women, obtaining certificates, and purchasing land, which he claimed led to local unemployment. He criticized Soren for focusing on vote bank politics and for executing welfare measures that primarily benefit his family. Shah also lambasted the INDIA bloc and Congress leaders for their arrogance and involvement in various scams.
He emphasized BJP's contributions, pointing out that under the Modi government, significant funds were allocated for Jharkhand's development, Naxalite threats were contained, and various welfare schemes were launched. Shah also highlighted BJP's efforts in OBC and tribal welfare. Prominent BJP leaders, including Union Minister Annapurna Devi and Arjun Munda, were present at the event, and Shah instructed party leaders to communicate the party's works to the people.
