A 23-year-old woman in Thane, Maharashtra, has been accused of using forged documents to obtain a fake passport and visa for travel to Pakistan, an official disclosed on Tuesday. According to authorities, the woman, Nagma Noor Maksood Ali, also known as Sanam Khan, altered her identity and obtained necessary documents, including an Aadhaar card, PAN card, and a birth certificate for her daughter, from a Lokmanya Nagar center.

Using these documents, Ali secured a passport and visa for Pakistan and successfully traveled to the neighboring country. In addition to Ali, authorities have filed a case against an unknown individual who facilitated her in acquiring the fake documents.

The case has been registered under the Indian Passports Act and other relevant laws. The offence is believed to have occurred between May 2023 and 2024, and an investigation is currently underway, police confirmed.
