The Supreme Court proceedings on NEET-UG 2024 turned fiery on Tuesday as Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud engaged in a heated exchange with advocate Mathews J Nedumpara. The CJI sternly warned Nedumpara about the consequences of speaking out of turn.

Justice Chandrachud, visibly exasperated, asserted his authority, stating he would not tolerate any lawyer dictating court procedures. Despite multiple warnings, Nedumpara persisted, demanding to present his arguments, interrupting senior advocate Narender Hooda.

The situation escalated to the point where the CJI asked for security to remove Nedumpara from the courtroom. The advocate grudgingly apologized, claiming unfair treatment, but continued to criticize the court's handling of the NEET-UG 2024 issue.
