Elderly Woman Killed in Rajouri Garden Hit-and-Run

A 74-year-old woman, identified as Amarjeet Kaur, was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Delhi's Rajouri Garden. The driver fled, abandoning the vehicle. Police are conducting raids to locate the accused, whose house was found locked.

A 74-year-old woman was killed after a vehicle hit her in Rajouri Garden area of west Delhi on Tuesday, officials said.

The driver fled from the spot, leaving his vehicle behind, they reported.

Police identified the deceased as Amarjeet Kaur, a resident of Nihal Vihar in Delhi. Law enforcement officers reached the scene following the incident, according to authorities.

''We seized the vehicle and conducted a raid at the residence of the owner in the Rajouri Garden area, but the house was found locked. Efforts are ongoing to trace the accused,'' stated Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Vichitra Veer.
