Germany Bans Islamic Centre Hamburg for Promoting Islamist Extremism

Germany has banned the Islamic Centre Hamburg (IZH) and its sub-organisations for promoting Islamist-extremist ideologies and supporting Hezbollah. The decision follows a raid involving 53 properties. The Interior Ministry stated that the IZH, linked to Iran's leadership, spreads aggressive antisemitism and aims to instigate a revolution.

Germany has banned the Islamic Centre Hamburg (IZH) and its sub-organisations for propagating Islamist-extremist attitudes and backing Hezbollah militants, as law enforcement raided 53 locations nationwide.

Interior Minister Nancy Faeser confirmed the ban following an investigation revealing the organization promotes a totalitarian ideology supportive of terrorism, and spreads aggressive antisemitism.

According to the ministry, the IZH acts as a representative of Iran's Supreme Leader, aiming to instigate an Islamic Revolution in Germany. As a result, four Shiite mosques will be closed and the IZH's assets confiscated.
