The Delhi Police is gearing up to issue a notice to IAS probationer Puja Khedkar, who faces charges of cheating and forgery. Official sources revealed on Wednesday that Khedkar allegedly misused disability and OBC (non-creamy layer) quotas to secure her candidacy for the civil services exam.
Documents and other evidence are being compiled by a specialized team led by an ACP-level officer from the Crime Branch. The team plans to confront Khedkar with the alleged forged documents once the evidence collection is complete.
Khedkar, a 2023-batch IAS officer, faces multiple charges under various sections of the IPC, the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, and the Information Technology Act. Her probation period has been put on hold, and she was transferred from Pune to Washim, reflecting the serious nature of the accusations.
