India and Kuwait to Deepen Bilateral Ties

India and Kuwait held the sixth round of Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) to review and enhance their bilateral relationship. The discussions covered political ties, trade, education, and more. Led by Aseem R Mahajan and Sameeh Essa Johar Hayat, both nations committed to strengthen cooperation across various sectors.

India and Kuwait conducted the sixth round of Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) in Kuwait, thoroughly reviewing their bilateral relationship on Wednesday. The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that both nations agreed to deepen cooperation in multiple areas such as political ties, trade, investment, education, and cultural exchanges.

The Indian delegation was spearheaded by Aseem R Mahajan, Joint Secretary (Gulf), while the Kuwaiti side was led by Assistant Foreign Minister for Asia Affairs, Sameeh Essa Johar Hayat. They also engaged in comprehensive discussions on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Indian representative Mahajan met with several key officials, including Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Under Secretary of Ministry of Commerce Ziyad Al-Najem, to explore new avenues for boosting bilateral trade and investment. Conversations covered early finalization of pending agreements and setting the stage for the next FOC in New Delhi.
