The Allahabad High Court granted bail on Wednesday to Rajeev Nayan Mishra, also known as Rahul Mishra, in connection with the paper leak of the review officer/assistant review officer examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.
An FIR had been filed against Mishra, accused of masterminding the paper leak, at Civil Lines police station. Later, the Kaushambi police registered a case against him under the Gangsters' Act.
Despite securing bail in the Prayagraj case, Mishra cannot walk free until he secures bail under the Gangsters' Act. Justice Sanjay Kumar Pachori granted him bail on the ground that co-accused in the case had already been released, arguing that Mishra should be granted bail on parity.
