Karnataka Deputy CM Promises MUDA Scam Exposure

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar has announced the upcoming release of a list detailing illegally allotted sites by the BJP regime through the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). He emphasized the Congress government's commitment to investigating and exposing scams that occurred during the BJP's tenure.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar announced on Thursday plans to release a list of illegally allotted Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) sites from the previous BJP regime.

Addressing reporters at Vidhana Soudha, Shivakumar stated, 'The media reported that MUDA sites were allotted by the BJP two years ago. They could have admitted it during the Assembly session discussion but are scared their misdeeds will be exposed.' He added that the Congress government facilitated a detailed discussion on the illegal money transfer in the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation scam, which the opposition interrupted to avoid exposure.

Shivakumar assured that truth would surface as the government has ordered an inquiry into all scams from the BJP's rule. He defended the legal allocation of sites to the chief minister’s family and challenged the opposition to provide evidence. He remarked on the BJP’s planned protest padayatra from Bengaluru to Mysuru, stating, 'Let them walk to Delhi; we will expose their scams.'
