ECI Orders Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls in J&K

The Election Commission of India has announced a special summary revision of photo electoral rolls for all parliamentary and assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, with a qualifying date of July 1, 2024. The integrated draft electoral roll will be published on July 25, 2024, and the claims and objections period will run from July 25 to August 9, 2024.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued an order for a second special summary revision of photo electoral rolls in all parliamentary and assembly constituencies in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The qualifying date for this revision is set for July 1, 2024.

The notice, released by Chief Electoral Officer P K Pole, states that the integrated draft electoral roll will be published on July 25, 2024. The period for filing claims and objections will be from July 25 to August 9, 2024. Special campaign dates are set for July 27-28 and August 3-4, 2024.

Individuals who are 18 years or older by July 1, 2024, can enroll in the electoral rolls using Form 6. Additional forms like Form 7, Form 8, and Form 6B will address other registration needs. Claims and objections can be filed online at the Voter's Service Portal or offline through BLOs, AERO, or ERO.
