Efficient Waste Management Essential in Latur City: Amit Deshmukh

During a meeting with municipal officials, Deshmukh highlighted the need for addressing contaminated water supply complaints and expediting the Manjara dam pipeline project under Amrut-2.

Congress MLA and former minister Amit Deshmukh has emphasized the critical need for efficient waste management and drainage cleaning to prevent disease outbreaks in Latur, central Maharashtra.

During a Friday evening meeting with municipal commissioner Babasaheb Manohare and other officials, Deshmukh discussed various civic issues plaguing the city. He pointed out that due to a prolonged period without civic elections, administrative control has been in the hands of a state-appointed administrator.

Deshmukh urged officials to address complaints of contaminated water supply in the Hattenagar locality and expedite the completion of the Manjara dam pipeline project, approved under the Amrut-2 initiative.
