Major Drug Seizure in Assam: Rs 9 Crore Worth of Yaba Tablets Confiscated

In a significant operation, Yaba tablets worth an estimated Rs 9 crore were seized from Assam's Cachar district, announced Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday.
Acting on reliable intelligence, the Cachar Police conducted a special operation in Kathakal, apprehending an individual with 30,000 Yaba tablets, the Chief Minister revealed in a social media post.
A two-wheeler used for transporting the drugs was also confiscated, Sarma added. He praised the Assam Police for their ongoing efforts to make the state drug-free.
