Security Agencies Heighten Vigilance in Jammu: Precautionary Operations and Tabletop Exercises

Security forces conducted a precautionary search operation in Rajouri, J-K, amid high alert after recent terror attacks. Joint efforts by Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, and other agencies were in full swing, including a multi-agency security table-top exercise to review security in Jammu, Samba, and Kathua districts.

Security forces on Monday conducted a precautionary search operation in Rajouri town in J-K's Jammu region, which has seen 15 terror attacks in the last 50 days. Various districts were under search after incidents that resulted in the deaths of 10 security personnel and nine pilgrims, with 58 others injured. The operation was aimed at ensuring safety in the region, officials stated.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police, its Special Operations Group, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) carried out the operation. Officials reported that a CRPF sniffer dog and a bomb disposal squad were present. Later that evening, a multi-agency security table-top exercise (MASTT) was conducted to review the security situation in Jammu, Samba, and Kathua districts, according to a defence spokesman.

'To review the security situation in Jammu, Samba, and Kathua regions, a MASTT exercise was held at the Samba military station, attended by all security and intelligence stakeholders,' the spokesman disclosed. The agencies discussed various security scenarios and implemented counter-terror strategies, showcasing their commitment to the region's safety.
