Senior IPS Officer Suspended in Odisha for Misuse of Power
The Odisha government suspended senior IPS officer Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao for allegedly misusing his position. An official complaint was received stating that he disgraced his position by abusing power. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi ordered his suspension after returning from a visit to New Delhi.

The Odisha government has taken stringent action by suspending senior IPS officer Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao over allegations of power misuse, as confirmed in an official statement on Tuesday.
According to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), a complaint was lodged accusing Uttamrao of disgracing his position on the night of July 27. The 2007 batch IPS officer was serving as DIG, Fire Services & Home Guards, Odisha.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, upon his return from New Delhi on Monday, instructed the concerned department to suspend Uttamrao and initiate appropriate action. Following these directives, the suspension was executed, the statement added.
