Delhi Lt Governor V K Saxena on Tuesday announced immediate action following the tragic deaths of three civil services aspirants at a coaching center's basement.

''It is a tragic incident. Whatever appropriate action needs to be taken will be taken. I do not believe in taking hasty decisions. Things are slowly coming to light. Whatever steps need to be taken will be taken,'' Saxena stated while flagging off 320 electric buses.

The aspirants, Shreya Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni from Telangana, and Kerala's Navin Dalwin, died when floodwaters inundated the library at Rau's IAS Study Circle in Old Rajinder Nagar on Saturday evening. Saxena, who visited the scene on Monday, assured protestors that officials from Delhi Fire Services, police, and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi would face action within 24 hours and announced Rs 10 lakh compensation for each victim's family.
