Four Naxal Operatives Arrested in Chhattisgarh Sweep

Four Naxal operatives were arrested in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh. Three were involved in a police-targeting blast last December, while the fourth was wanted for killing a police informer. Arrests were made in separate locations by a joint operation of the District Reserve Guard and local police.

Four Naxal operatives were apprehended in different locations within Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, on Tuesday, according to police officials.

Three of the suspects were linked to an explosive attack aimed at police personnel in Kanwadgaon-Pidiya village in December the previous year. The fourth suspect, identified as Ganpat Podiyam, was wanted for the murder of a suspected police informer.

Lower-rank cadres Bhima Karam alias Dumma, Joga Kalmu alias Betiya, and Sukku Karam alias Sannu, were captured near the Andari village forest during an anti-Naxal operation conducted by the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and local police. Meanwhile, militia member Podiyam was detained in Bhandarpal-Pujaripara village under Ilmidi police station's jurisdiction.
