Software Engineer Alleges Rape by Childhood Friend and Accomplice

A 24-year-old software engineer claimed she was raped by her childhood friend and his cousin at a restaurant-cum-bar in Vanasthalipuram. The woman, who had recently secured a new job, was celebrating with her friend when the incident occurred. Police have registered a case and efforts are underway to apprehend the accused.

A 24-year-old software engineer has accused two men, including her childhood friend, of raping her at a restaurant-cum-bar in Vanasthalipuram, police reported on Tuesday.

According to the woman's complaint, she was celebrating her new job with her childhood friend, who was also her former classmate. Both consumed alcohol at the venue, after which the man allegedly took her to a room on the premises and raped her. His cousin subsequently entered the room and also raped her while she was intoxicated.

The woman informed her brother about the assault, leading to a police report and her subsequent medical examination. Police are actively searching for the suspects as the investigation continues.
