Andhra Pradesh CM Calls for Better Facilities for Tribals

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directs officials to improve facilities for tribals in Andhra Pradesh, addressing hardships like carrying pregnant women to hospitals. He criticized the previous YSRCP government for neglecting tribal welfare schemes and highlighted the need to rejuvenate the sales of tribal products like Araku Coffee.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday directed officials to enhance facilities for the state's tribal communities, addressing significant hardships such as physically carrying pregnant women to hospitals from remote areas.

During a review meeting of the Tribal Welfare Department, Naidu instructed the provision of necessary amenities and the resumption of feeder ambulance services. He condemned the previous YSRCP government's neglect of tribal welfare schemes aimed at improving education, health, and living standards.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of restarting special rooms for pregnant women established under the erstwhile TDP government. Additionally, he highlighted the neglect of tribal products like Araku Coffee by the YSRCP regime and called for revitalizing their marketing due to their high demand nationally and internationally.
