Nine Sentenced to 10 Years in Attempt to Murder Case

A local court sentenced nine individuals to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for an attempted murder involving a land dispute. The incident, which took place in 2012, resulted in multiple injuries. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 21,000 on each person, with additional penalties for non-payment.

A local court on Tuesday sentenced nine people to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment in an attempt to murder case, also imposing a fine of Rs 21,000 on each convict.

The case, originating from a 2012 incident, involved a land dispute where assailants attacked Ram Udar and his family with a pistol and a bomb. One accused died during the trial, another was tried as a juvenile, and the rest were found guilty.

Special Judge (EC Act) Ram Dayal handed down the sentences, stating that an additional 15 months of simple imprisonment would be served if the fine is not paid. The case was registered at Mankapur police station, and the investigation concluded with the sentencing of Rajneesh, Navneet, Nankun, Omkareshwar, Krishnakant, Suresh, Sushil, Mahesh, and Amarnath.
