On Tuesday, Israel's military announced that it had killed Fuad Shukr, identified as Hezbollah's senior commander and alleged perpetrator of an attack that killed a dozen young individuals in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Hezbollah confirmed Shukr's death, while Hamas also confirmed the assassination of its leader, Haniyeh, in Tehran.
