Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday reached out to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, offering complete support in response to the recent cloudburst incidents in the state.

According to officials, at least three individuals lost their lives, while approximately 40 others were reported missing following two separate cloudburst incidents. The torrential rains resulted in widespread destruction, washing away numerous houses and roads as well as causing damage to two hydro power projects.

A spokesperson for the home ministry confirmed that Shah assured Chief Minister Sukhu of comprehensive assistance from the central government, including the dispatch of National Disaster Response Force teams to aid in rescue and relief efforts.
