The Bihar government on Thursday removed IAS officer Sanjeev Hans from his position as principal secretary of the Energy Department. This action comes in the wake of an ongoing investigation initiated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Hans, who also served as the CMD of Bihar State Power Holding Company Ltd, has been reassigned to the General Administration Department (GAD), according to an official notification.
Sandeep Poundrik, the additional chief secretary of the Industry Department, will assume Hans's former responsibilities as an additional charge.
Last month, the ED conducted raids across multiple premises in Bihar, Delhi, and Pune as part of their investigation into Hans and former RJD MLA Gulab Yadav.
The investigation, carried out under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), is linked to allegations of corruption.
