Mumbai Stunt Driver Arrested After Dangerous Drunken Incident

A 26-year-old man named Suraj Sav was arrested for performing dangerous stunts while driving under the influence of alcohol in Mumbai's Andheri area. Caught in a viral video, he even lost control of his vehicle, hitting another. Police confirmed his intoxication through a medical test.

A 26-year-old man identified as Suraj Sav has been apprehended for performing hazardous stunts while driving under the influence of alcohol in Mumbai's Andheri area, according to police statements released Thursday.

The incident, which took place on the Andheri-Kurla road late Monday night, was captured in a video that went viral on social media. In the footage, Sav can be seen hanging out of the moving car's window and steering the vehicle, even briefly running on the road while clinging precariously to the vehicle.

The dangerous stunt ended when Sav lost control of the car, resulting in a collision with another vehicle. Bystanders notified the police, who arrived on the scene and collected video evidence from witnesses. A subsequent medical test confirmed that Sav was indeed driving under the influence. He has since been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act.
