Chetan Soni, a 30-year-old man with a Master’s in Computer Applications, has been apprehended for allegedly issuing a bomb threat to Kendriya Vidyalaya situated on the IIT Indore campus.

According to Superintendent of Police Hitika Vasal, Soni became frustrated after failing to secure a job as a technician at the school despite multiple attempts. This led him to email the principal last month, threatening to blow up the institution on Independence Day.

The authorities were able to trace the email back to Soni, prompting his arrest. The police are now conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
