A tragic accident in Kidwai Nagar claimed the life of Bhawna Mishra, 42, and left her teenage daughter, Meghavi, severely injured, police reported on Saturday.

The incident occurred when a speeding SUV driven by a 17-year-old juvenile crashed into their scooty. The young driver, who lacked a driving license, was reportedly performing stunts with his friends who fled the scene.

Authorities have detained the driver and his father, the latter claiming ignorance of his son’s actions. CCTV footage captured the SUV ramming into the scooter and colliding with a parked car at a speed of about 100 km/h.
