A 42-year-old man allegedly shot himself at his Prakash Vihar Colony home on Saturday, police reported.

The deceased, employed at a private company in Noida, was found with a bullet injury to his head. A country-made pistol and three live cartridges were recovered from the scene, according to Loni ACP Surya Bali Maurya.

His family members discovered him after hearing the gunshot. The father claimed marital issues led to the suicide. The police have sent the body for a postmortem and are investigating the case.
