The Land and Development Office (L&DO) has assured the Delhi High Court that it does not intend to demolish the 'Army Press' property in Khyber Pass, North Delhi. This comes in light of a previous court order banning coercive actions regarding the land's possession.

The statement was made by the Central government counsel, Kirtiman Singh, in front of Justice Sudhir Kumar Jain, following a petition from residents challenging unauthorized occupancy claims and threatened demolitions.

Earlier this year, despite an ongoing 2010 court directive to halt coercive measures, authorities issued a demolition order. The court clarified that no actions would be taken until the pending petition is resolved. In a previous ruling on July 9, the high court dismissed an appeal by hostel residents wanting to prevent their eviction and the demolition of their homes.
