Mumbai Police Crack Down on Mobile Phone Theft Gang
Mumbai police arrested three members of a mobile phone theft gang, including a woman, and recovered 59 stolen handsets. The suspects were apprehended in Andheri area based on a tip-off. The accused have been identified and a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Mumbai police have apprehended three members of a notorious mobile phone theft gang, including a female accomplice, recovering 59 stolen devices, an official confirmed on Sunday.
Acting on information that the suspects would be near the Mega Mall in the Andheri area, authorities set up a trap and successfully detained the accused on Saturday. The individuals arrested have been identified as Afzal Mushtaq Shah (19), Sabir Irfan Khan (30), and Urmila Prakash Morya alias Pinky (35). The gang is believed to have committed multiple similar thefts across different city locations, the official reported.
A total of 59 mobile phones were retrieved from their possession. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects under pertinent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), with further investigation actively in progress, the official added.
