The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday submitted a supplementary charge sheet against former railway minister Lalu Prasad, his son Tejashwi Yadav, and eight other individuals in connection with the land-for-jobs scam.
The charge sheet was presented before Special Judge Vishal Gogne, who has scheduled the next hearing for August 13.
The ED's investigation is based on an FIR filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The case revolves around Group-D appointments in the West Central Zone of Indian Railways in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. These appointments allegedly took place during Prasad's tenure as railway minister from 2004 to 2009 and were in exchange for land parcels given to Prasad's family or associates.
