National Conference president Farooq Abdullah has issued a stern warning to India, urging careful scrutiny of the situation unfolding on its eastern front in Bangladesh. This comes in the wake of significant developments triggered by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation and subsequent flight from the country.

Abdullah, the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, stressed that India's vigilance is paramount as Bangladesh navigates this period of instability. He also issued a broader caution to dictators, indicating they could face consequences similar to those experienced in Bangladesh.

Abdullah expressed hope that Bangladesh would resolve its crisis and sustain its cordial relationship with India. He attributed the unrest to long-standing economic struggles and unemployment, which he said compelled the collapse of Hasina's government.

On a different note, regarding the Election Commission's visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Abdullah advocated for the finalization of assembly election dates, asserting that it was a routine responsibility of the Commission.
