Harish Dudani Appointed as Member of CERC

Harish Dudani has been officially appointed as a Member of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), according to a statement from the Power Ministry. He took the Oath of Office and Secrecy on August 6, 2024, administered by the Minister for Power.
Dudani brings a wealth of judicial experience to his new role, having previously served as Principal Judge of the Family Court in the High Court of Delhi. His past roles also include District Judge (Commercial Court), Additional Session Judge, and Special Judge (PC Act) CBI in the High Court of Delhi.
The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, established under the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act of 1998, plays a crucial role in regulating tariffs and ensuring a competitive, efficient, and investment-friendly energy sector. Dudani's appointment is expected to strengthen CERC's regulatory framework.
